In 2010 Asteelflash, moved into larger new premises in Bedford. The new factory suffered from severe over heating during the spring and summer months. EcoCooling were asked to design and install a new cooling system which would provide low running costs and as an environmentally friendly solution as possible.

Seven wall mounted down discharge units, with attenuation sections to reduce the internal noise, were fitted to the outside wall of the building, providing 245kW of cooling. Six large wall mounted variable speed extraction units were fitted in the opposite wall to create the correct air flow through the building.

The installation was undertaken during normal working hours and did not affect the manufacturing within the area.

The system has worked very well even during the warmest spells and costs less than £5.00 per day to run even on the hottest days.
